Basta, Jordan

The attractive and well-preserved Neolithic (pre-pottery B) village of Basta is located near as-Sadaqa, 25km south of Petra. It's dated to the 7th millenium BC, an early farming and hunting community that also produced beads of turquoise, bone, shell, and mother-of-pearl.
